EN: „The Great King Ferdinand“ is an interactive theater performance for children between the age of six and ten and their parents. Three actresses tell the story of „The Great King Ferdinand“ to the children based on the book by Efraim Sidon: Ferdinand the king is very popular. Now he wants to try out his people to see if he really is that beloved. Therefore, he issues one very strange new rule after another. Suddenly, all the officials have to put a clothespin on their nose and the entire population no longer has to stand on two legs, but only on one. Finally, the consonants a, e, i and o are no longer allowed to be used. Finally, a group organizes itself to put an end to the madness in order to secure a better future for their country.
DE: „Der große König Ferdinand“ ist eine interaktive Theater-Performance für Kinder zwischen sechs und zehn Jahren und ihre Eltern. Drei Schauspielerinnen erzählen „Die Geschichte vom großen König Ferdinand“ anhand des Buches von Efraim Sidon: Ferdinand der König ist sehr beliebt. Nun will er sein Volk auf die Prüfung stellen, um zu sehen, ob er wirklich so beliebt ist. Drum erlässt er eine sehr komische neue Regel nach der anderen. So müssen sich auf einmal alle Beamte*innen eine Wäscheklammer auf die Nase setzen und das gesamte Volk nicht mehr auf zwei Beinen, sondern immer nur auf einem stehen. Letztendlich dürfen die Konsonanten a, e, i und o nicht mehr benutzen werden. Zum guter Letzt organisiert sich eine Gruppe setzt den Spinnereien ein Ende um für ihr Land eine bessere Zukunft zu sichern.
