EN: Julia was born in Ulm in 1987 and studied Regional Studies of Eastern and Central Europe with a secondary subject in Political Science at the University of Cologne, as well as Linguistics and Literature for Polish and Italian at the Humboldt University of Berlin. During her studies and her stays abroad, she worked as an intern and assistant on international productions at theaters in Germany and Poland. In 2016, she joined the with the Theaterpreis des Bundes awarded Theater Das Letzte Kleinod, for the international production „Flucht – Ucieczka“, and worked for the following three years as an assistant director and production assistant alongside theater maker Jens-Erwin Siemssen. During this period, she worked on the following productions: „Meteor“ (2017), „Wir haben die Angst gefressen“ (2017), „Sturmflut“ (2017/18), „Gesalzene Wassermelonen“ (2018), „Wilhelm*ina“ (2018), „Kabul: Homeland & Hell“ (2018) which was awarded the 2020 Innovationspreis Soziokultur, and led a workshop with young people on the topic of democracy as part of „Trzy grosze, młodzież się wtrąca“ at Teatr Miniatura in Gdansk. Julia is co-founder of the Curatorial Collective for Public Art, together with Yael Sherill, Lianne Mol and José Délano, which develops curatorial formats for site-specific, transdisciplinary, critical and urban art (2019-2023). During this time, the collective realized following projects: „Tracks in a box: when artists make guide Tours“ (2019), „This is an Intervention“ (2020), „Kumzits“ (2021), „FuturePerfectLand“ (2021), „Maiseh“ (2022). In 2022, their collective CCPA was the recipient of the Projektraumstipendium from the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Europe. Since 2019 she has been active as a freelance stage designer with VorOrtung e.V. – zeitgenössische Kunst und Kultur im Kontext. In April 2023, she developed the exhibition design for „Ostglut – Atelier für Nachwendegeschichten“ by Katja Tannert at Haus der Statistik in Berlin.

In dieser Zeit arbeitete sie an folgenden Produktionen mit: „Meteor“ (2017), “Wir haben die Angst gefressen” (2017), „Sturmflut“ (2017/18), „Gesalzene Wassermelonen“ (2018), „Wilhelm*ina“ (2018), “Kabul: Homeland & Hell” (2018), ausgezeichnet mit dem Innovationspreis Soziokultur 2020, und leitete einen Workshop mit Jugendlichen zum Thema Demokratie im Rahmen von „Trzy grosze, młodzież się wtrąca“ am Teatr Miniatura in Danzig. Julia ist gemeinsam mit mit Yael Sherill, Lianne Mol und José Délano Mitbegründerin des Curatorial Collective for Public Art, das kuratorische Formate für ortsspezifische, transdisziplinäre, kritische und urbane Kunst entwickelt (2019-2023). In dieser Zeit setzte das Kollektiv folgende Projekte um: „Tracks in a box: when artists make guide Tours“ (2019), „This is an Intervention“ (2020), „Kumzits“ (2021), „FuturePerfectLand“ (2021), „Maiseh“ (2022). Im Jahr 2022 war CCPA Empfänger des Projektraumstipendiums der Berliner Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Europa. Seit 2019 ist sie als freiberufliche Bühnenbildnerin mit VorOrtung e.V. – zeitgenössische Kunst und Kultur im Kontext, aktiv. Im April 2023 entwickelte sie das Ausstellungsdesign für „Ostglut – Atelier für Nachwendegeschichten“ von Katja Tannert im Haus der Statistik.
